LBI ArchPro at Austria's biggest public science event 2016
The LBI ArchPro was part of Austria’s biggest public science event “Lange Nacht der Forschung 2016” on Friday, April 22nd - a nationwide initiative to communicate scientific work at Austrian research institutes to the public.
In 2016 the MAMUZ Museum hosted the LBI ArchPro at the “Stonehenge – A Hidden Landscape” exhibition in Mistelbach. From 5-11pm visitors had the chance to meet the scientists behind the new discoveries at Stonehenge, learn more about non-invasive archaeological prospection methods that are successfully applied on archaeological sites across Europe by the LBI ArchPro team and dive into virtual archaeology. Showcases included a virtual flight over the Stonehenge landscape as well as live 3D-printing and laserscanning.
