Alois Hinterleitner

Alois Hinterleitner is key researcher of the Programme Line 3 – Archaeological Interpretation, Spatial Analysis & Virtual Archaeology.

He is also partly employed at ZAMG and responsible for software development for scientific data visualizations of geophysical data. He has over 15 years of professional experience in archaeological prospection, notably in the development of advanced specialised software and visualization tools. In particular he is working on the development of algorithms and software for automated processing and visualization of high-definition magnetic and GPR data for archaeological prospection, as well as seismic and geoelectric data for general applied geophysics. Besides advanced programming skills (C/C++) his scientific merits are the development of extensions for ArcGIS, data visualizations using AVS and image processing prototyping using KBVision.
