Ingrid graduated from the University of Vienna with an MA in Scandinavian Studies in 2017. Her specialization is Old Norse Studies. Consequently, she worked on the Viking Age picture stones of Gotland using archaeological and medieval historical sources in her master´s thesis.
Since she already began to work with the results of archaeological projects during her studies, her interest in working with cultural heritage grew. Therefore, she started studying at the Institute of Prehistory and Historical Archaeology and worked at various archaeological excavations in Austria, Germany and Norway. During these research projects, Ingrid specialised in photogrammetric documentation using image-based modelling and 3D visualisation.
At the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Archaeological Prospections and Virtual Archaeology, her primary focus is science communication as well as 3D documentation and rendering.
