Internal training and workshops

Since 2011 annual internal staff workshops have been organised. They mainly focus on team building and analysis of current and future problems and are accompanied by a professional team coach.

We organize periodic workshops that include the core team, partners and the Scientific Advisory Board. These focus on specific topics such as dissemination strategy and organisational development and teach skills on data acquisition, specialist processing and archaeological interpretation.

The integrated archaeological interpretation of the case studies happens in close cooperation with our partners. A model derived from agile software development has been successfully implemented with Scrum Sprints over the last years. Researchers from our partner institutions join us in a shared working environment for a few days to work intensively on the interpretation of geophysical prospection data from their national case studies. Theses workshops also provide us with feedback and insights into the specific issues of interest to each partner.
