Our consortium included European partner organizations, covering academic institutes, national archaeological and geophysical research departments, governmental cultural heritage agencies as well as commercial archaeological prospection service providers and SMEs, representing a diverse range of individual interests. While the main interest for some partners lies in generating scientific output in the form of joint publications, others focus on the direct benefits derived from the development of efficient hardware and software solutions for large-scale archaeological prospection, applicable to both research and rescue archaeology. In addition, our partners benefitted from a constant transfer of knowledge, which was ensured, among other things, by regular joint workshops on specific research topics and staff training for the in-house software solutions.
All partners were directly involved in the research programme, primarily through involvement in the corresponding national case studies that produced valuable new scientific data on important and possibly endangered archaeological heritage in their countries.
