CIPA Heritage Documentation interview with LBI ArchPro expert Geert Verhoeven
CIPA Heritage Documentation has published an extensive interview with LBI ArchPro vice-director Geert Verhoeven. A CIPA expert member of many years, Geert has taught image-based modelling or scanning techniques at several CIPA schools. The interview covers many aspects of landscape archaeology and research at the LBI ArchPro.
“I do not have any special talent. I am only passionately curious about any form of terrestrial and airborne photography plus multi- and hyperspectral imaging, image-based modelling using photogrammetric computer vision, image fusion and scientific visualisations. These techniques are mainly researched to improve existing data acquisition and information extraction procedures for the benefit of archaeology and cultural heritage at large.” – Geert Verhoeven
